The Trans-Siberian Railway is the longest railway in the world. It was built between 1891 and 1916. Travelling through the Trans Mongolian railway is a unique way to explore Mongolia by having a short stay in Ulaanbaatar and in the beautiful National Parks near the city. Through this tour you can see the Hustai National Park is a Specially Protected Area and known for its reintroduction of wild horse -takhi (Przewalski’s horse). The tour in Hustai can give you the opportunity to see some wild animals and to get information about the flora and fauna around the national park.

Chinggis Khaan Statue is the largest equestrian statue in the world with over 40 meters tall. Terelj National Park is one of the best National Parks of Mongolia and certainly the most visited area due to its magnificent scenery.

Ulaanbaatar, as the cultural and academic center of Mongolia, the capital city is the seat of the major art establishments, museum, and educational institutions, as well as having a range of modern services. And much more to discover…

Day 1. Mongol Nomadic Show / Khustai National Park 120 km

Upon arrival, meet your guide and travel to west side from Ulaanbaatar City. Your first stop is Mongol Nomadic camp after an hour of driving. Breakfast at the traditional ger restaurant and after some refreshing time you will enjoy the Mongol nomadic show.

The show is authentic and you will get introduced with nomadic way of life and its culture through this show. You can participate in setting up a ger and riding on yak carts etc.

After lunch, drive a little further to see the last wild horses in the world, the Przewalski horses of Khustai National Park. Przewalski horses (Takhi in Mongolian) has been successfully reintroduced into National Park after being wholly extinct. The National park is friendly not only to Takhi, but also others mammals, birds and a large variety of flora and faunas. Travel deep inside the park to search for Przewalski horses.

Day 2. Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex / Terelj National Park 220 km

After an early breakfast, it is a day to travel to the eastern side of Ulaanbaatar city for its beautiful landscapes and adventure. Your first visit will be the famous Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex for an impressive sight. The massive and shiny statue is largest creation made in Chinggis Khaan image in the world.

Later, travel to Terelj National Park which is renowned for its lovely natural scenery of stunning rock formations, larch forests, sweeping grass lands and swiftly flowing streams. Visit the Turtle Rock and Ariyabala Temple for a great view of the park. Visit a Mongolian family for a nomadic hospitality and horseback ride adventure. Have dinner at camp restaurant and stay overnight in ger.

Day 3. Ulaanbaatar City Sights

After the travel in the National parks back to the city to explore Ulaanbaatar. Visit Gandan monastery, the largest Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia that houses well over 500 monks. The full name of Gandan is Gandantegchilen, translates as ‘The great place of complete joy’. Visit National History Museum and Sukhbaatar Square which would cover the spot where Mongolia’s independence was proclaimed in 1921. Have lunch in a Mongolian buffet restaurant where you can create your own stir fry bowls and barbeques.

In the afternoon, explore Bogd King Palace museum, also known as the Winter Palace. This large complex of seven halls and a two-storey Russian style house was the winter home of Mongolia`s last king and the third line in the Tibetan Buddhist hierarchy after the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama. Afterwards, proceed to the Zaisan Memorial Hills to have a panoramic view of the city.

If time permits, you can go for shopping for Mongolian cashmere in the Factory outlet store. Have dinner in an American Grill House and enjoy your evening. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4. Departure

After breakfast check out of hotel and transfer to the Railway Station or Airport for your international departure.
