- With a 20% deposit or more at the time of booking, you receive the cancellation insurance free of charge.
Optional cancellation insurance:
Protect your booking and your payments with the Travel On Agency cancellation insurance, available on most standard tour packages. The cancellation insurance allows you to cancel the whole package before your arrival without ever losing your money. This safeguards you against financial losses that could otherwise occur if you have to cancel your tour.
You can purchase this insurance at the time of booking or receive it free of charge when you make a 20% deposit.
With the cancellation insurance you get to:
- Rebook your tour, on one occasion, without any change fees.
- Cancel for any reason and receive a partial refund and travel credit as follows:
- With more than 72 hours' notice before your scheduled tour arrival date, your deposit will be held as a travel credit¹ and the remaining will be refunded² to you.
- With less than 72 hours’ notice before your scheduled tour arrival date, 50% will be held as travel credit¹ with the remaining 50% refunded to you.
- Cancel your tour and receive a full refund in case of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, which make it impossible to travel safely to your destination. This may cover, for example, warfare, significant risk to human health, and natural disaster. We only provide full refunds in accordance with the EU Package Travel Directive.
In addition to our standard terms for all bookings the following terms apply as part of the Book With Confidence plan:
- The cancellation insurance can be purchased only for selected standard tour packages from our website.
- The cancellation insurance covers your whole tour package. It does not cover individual services, hotels or rental cars that are cancelled by you shortly before arrival or during your trip. The terms for those types of cancellations are dependent on the agreement with the service provider and some costs can occur, depending on the cancellation notice. However, if the service provider is the one to cancel, for example due to weather, you will receive a full refund for this service.
- Most standard tour packages include joint cost for travel groups (such as private transfers, rental car, etc.). In instances where one or more people from a travel group need to cancel, we will refund individual costs when possible. We are unable to refund the per person price originally quoted.
- The cancellation insurance does not replace travel insurance. Travel insurance provides another level of protection for you while you travel, and may cover costs due to delays or flight cancellations, lost luggage, healthcare, etc. We highly recommend that all customers purchase personal travel insurance before their trip.
- Not valid for any tours in Lapland or Greenland, and also not valid for any tours with 50% minimum deposit.
- Packages must be secured with a 20% deposit. You may choose to pay 10% at the time of booking and the remaining 10% balance 90 days before the arrival date.
- If you decide to pay a 20% deposit at the time of booking, you will receive the cancellation insurance free of charge.
- The total cost of the travel package is due 30 days before arrival.
- Any new offer cannot be applied on top of tour packages already on special offer and cannot be combined with other discounts.
- Not commissionable for third-party travel agents.

Embark on a thrilling adventure starting from Ulaanbaatar with a 4×4 vehicle. Covering a distance of 280 km through Lun, Bayannuur, and Dashinchilin to the northern foothills of the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes, the journey will leave you spellbound. Continue towards the serene landscapes of the Elsen Mountain in the Gobi region, connected with the pristine nature of the Bayanlig Oasis. Before embarking on the desert exploration, a comfortable camp is set up, and after a delightful breakfast, the total length of the journey is 38 km. The expedition involves two stops at the oasis for relaxation, with days filled with exploration and mouth-watering local cuisine. The journey concludes in the vast and magnificent landscapes of the Khongor Khan mountain. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to take a short trip on a camel and explore the exotic surroundings at your own pace (not covered by the cost of the journey).
Get onboard on an exceptional adventure on the second day of our trip. We’ll explore the historical Erdene Zuu Monastery and enjoy a hearty breakfast before continuing on a 50 km journey to Khujirt Sum. After crossing a 30 km route, we’ll reach the serene landscapes of the Orkhon River Valley, where the White Stupa of the Orkhon River serves as a breathtaking backdrop for our overnight camp. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience spanning 80 km by car.
We will relish the third day of our trip by experiencing the beauty of nature like never before! Savor a cup of hot tea by the Orkhon River before embarking on a 44 km drive through the stunning Unadag Dugui landscapes. With majestic mountains on one side and the vast steppe on the other, this picturesque drive is one you won’t forget. The day concludes with a remarkable exploration of the unique and breathtaking Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall.
Let’s experience a nostalgia-creating moment on the fourth day of our trip for an adventurous kayaking experience along the Orkhon River. With a route spanning 36 km, you’ll have the chance to paddle through beautiful rapids and take in breathtaking landscapes. After a day of adventure, we’ll set up camp and enjoy a delicious meal under the stars. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to explore the Orkhon River and create deep-rooted memories.
On the fifth day of your trip, get ready to enter the most memorable journey exploring the stunning Orkhon River by kayak. Covering over 43 km, you’ll indulge in an unforgettable kayaking adventure while absorbing the breathtaking natural beauty of the river. After an exhilarating day, you’ll relax in the comfort of your camp and savor a scrumptious meal.
As we explore the Khondi Highlands, a protected nature reserve, we’ll cover 30 km of diverse landscapes, taking in breathtaking views and immersing ourselves in the beauty of the region. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to witness the wonders of nature firsthand.
On the seventh day, we’ll visit the stunning Erdene Zuu Monastery before returning to Ulaanbaatar after 365 km of exploration by car. Each day will be filled with unique experiences and delicious meals, while mornings offer a tranquil start to the day.
